Pros

• We spend hours together pursuing a common interest.
• We “spend time” with real-life good friends who also play the game with us.
• The common ground has provided lots of metaphors to better understand each other. Example:  Sweetie, when you twist my words, it makes me feel like I’m getting polymorphed in a battleground.
• Bragging rights.
• Cheap entertainment! We don’t go out to movies/shows/other events that cost $10 a piece because we’re spending most of our entertainment time on a game that costs $0.50/day.
• Education. We’ve learned a lot about the economy from the complex economical system in this global network.
• Culture. With over 14 million players, WoW needs to have many servers to accommodate all people. We’re on a server with folks in Australia & New Zealand and have learned many fascinating things from them.  What’s goss with you? Let’s go to Macca’s tomoz.
